MRSI Client PAPCO

"MRSI designed and implemented management controls, which enabled
PAPCO to more effectively manage our distribution operation by improving
efficiencies around picking and routing our main lines (Motorcraft and AC Delco parts). This allowed us to grow by over 150% and increase our operating
profit by more than 3%."

Common Questions

Q:  When’s the best time to start a benchmarking analysis?

A:  This is never an easy answer.  The timing is not always right for companies, which is why MRSI puts such a strong focus on the Initial Assessment phase of our process.  The two key variables in the mix are:

First, to what degree do you feel that you are ready for an honest assessment and engage in an open-minded discussion of the issues most important to you?

Second, based on MRSI’s experience, to what degree are you currently willing and able to immerse yourself in a pivotal learning experience?

Typically, most leaders decide it is time for a serious, hard look at their company when they feel the pain of lost orders, inefficient processes or poorly managed time, to name a few. Ironically enough, often those companies that have very few operational headaches have the most to gain due to their relatively higher potential. With the right variables in place, sooner is typically better than later, since the sooner a change is made, the sooner a goal can be achieved, be it increased profit, decreased costs or simply the ability to step back from the business to pursue a personal goal.

Q:  Benchmarking seems so inexpensive. How do you make your money?

A:  Benchmarking is only one piece of a much larger puzzle. In fact, it’s a bit like dumping out a puzzle onto a table, turning over each piece, and sifting through them to find the edge pieces. It’s the first step that helps identify where a company is, where it wants to go, what it’s tried in the past along with what will work to improve the situation.

Benchmarking is also our way of demonstrating our commitment to quality service. We give you our best and invest our time without the expectation of any return, but with the belief that once you’ve had a chance to work with us, you’ll realize the benefits of having us implement what we recommend. It’s also our chance to get to know you, too, because if we don’t believe we can serve you in the best way possible, we won’t recommend implementation with us.

Q:  What do you know about my industry?

A:  We have experts in a variety of industries throughout the US and Canada, but our best recommendations cross industry lines to focus on processes. We understand that every company is unique and different, even within their industries, so we use best practices borrowed from multiple industries and customize them to fit within the small to medium business market, for the processes that are relevant to each company individually.
